036 Stockholm, November 13th, 1947. Ur. John Marshall, Associate Director of, The Rockefeller Foundation, 49 West 49th Street, How York 20 Dear Ur. Marshall, I wish to offer you my best thanks for the copy of your letter to Professor Tunberg and for your kind interest which has resulted in the dåetision of the Board in regard to my trip to America. Since I do not want to curtail my stipendiates” course (on the contrary I widk intensify it during March and April), I have arranged to leave Gothenburg on May 8th, arriving in New York on May 18th, and I leave Few York on July 3rd. This gives me nearly 7 weeke for my task, and I sincerely hope to see and learn quite a lot during that time and to meet all the leading American sinologues. I will certainly do my best to make our conferences fruitful. With renewed thanks, Yours sincerely
