O2Ma 4, Äubrey Road, London, ill Se ; 30th. November, 1931. Tel. Park 6233. Dear Professor Andersson, Many thanks for your letter of the 27th. inst. (I have been intending to write to you about the Burlington Magazine; but I have been terribly rushed trying to finish the 3rd. vol. of the Eumorfopoulos Collection Catalogue. You remember that we agreed that I should send you the current Burlington Magazine for six months so that you might have the opportunity of deciding whether it contains matter of sufficient interest to you to warrant the space occupied by so bulky a publication. WMy intention was to have written before this to ask if you would care for it to be continued. «Of course I shall be delighted to send it if you wish to have it. In my letters of the 20th. and 30th. of July, I mentioned : the 38 photographs of objects in the British Museum which I sent to you on the former date. (I much hope that these have reached you safely. In August I sent I6 photographs of silver Sassanian objects which were exhibited at the Persian Exhibition. I trust that these also reached you. By this posb I am sending copies of the Burlington Magazine for June 1913 and August I9I14. I have given orders to several booksellers to obtain for me back parts which contain articles on Chinese subjects, and I shall send you them as soon as they are found. You will, I feel sure, be interested to hear that our department in Chinese Art and Archaeology is still going strong in its second year. The regular students who attend my lectures number 29. «I look forward to the time when we

0212 b may persuade you to come over and give us several lectures on the ”Prehistoric Pottery". The question of endovwment will probably be settled within the next few months, and we Hope to have funds at our disposal. Several of my students have Xx ed for lectures on the mirrors, and therefore, I take the liberty of reverting to your generous promise to send me photographs of those noted when I was in Sweden. Perhaps it will save you trouble if I send a copy of my list from which I have omitt< "those photographs already received. There are. besides, among the photographs you sent me, 4 un-numbered, and these I have not been able to identify on the lists. I am most grateful to you for your kind help in the matter of photographs. Apart from the Eumorfopoulos Collection, our material in London, especially as regards the early bronzes, is. very scanty; and I have to turn to outside help for illustration to my lectures. 4 With kindest regards, Yours sincerely,
