This boiler tube cutting machine was probably manufactured in the 1930s by the German company Carlkneusel Zeulenroda. Based on available information (particularly the factory works plate attached to the machine) it was certainly used by rolling stock manufacturer Tovarna železniških vozil Boris Kidrič of Maribor after 1959. Unfortunately there is no data of when it was first used in the locomotive workshops in Ljubljana. Today it is located in the former workshop forgery and still used in the maintenance of the boiler tubes of the museum steam locomotives. The cutter comprises an electric motor that drives a circular cutting blade, and a special vice containing two rollers that hold the boiler. Sound: The electric motor drives a circular cutter which rotates and from the top cuts and simultaneously rotates the boiler whilst being held by two rollers.
