Hat

It was before New Year's Eve of 2000. The millennium, 1700th anniversary of Christianity in Armenia, and it later turned out that this day was the beginning of my new life too. We were sitting with my co-workers at Cafe Picasso which is on Teryan street. We were smoking distressingly, discussing and gossiping dramas from our office. In front of me, under the fresco of "Sleeping Girl" by Picasso hanging on the wall, was sitting the "newcomer". Nobody had invited her as far as I know, but after some glasses of wine everyone stopped paying attention to her.
I was about to leave and started to put on my coat, when suddenly noticed that she had snuggled into my hat with her face and was smiling absent-mindedly. We made eye contact and I froze...
It seemed like someone cast a spell on me, melted me, awoke me. I could not sleep at all that night, became delirious, and could not understand what was happening to me. I was going crazy; but it turned out that obsession was love.
