Fragments of fingers of right cheek, indicate that the head originally was resting in the right hand. Full, oval face with high forehead. Deep-set eyes with upper and lower eyelids indicated. Eyebrows indicated by thin line. Full lips. Face framed by wavy hair, covering most of the ears. Head covered...

Fragments of fingers of right cheek, indicate that the head originally was resting in the right hand. Full, oval face with high forehead. Deep-set eyes with upper and lower eyelids indicated. Eyebrows indicated by thin line. Full lips. Face framed by wavy hair, covering most of the ears. Head covered by a veil, junction hair/veil forming a well defined ridge. Plain back. White, coarse-grained marble (probably Parian or Minor Asian). Probably the goddess Demeter.
