Samla saker
Nästan alla har någon gång samlat på någonting. Pinnar, stenar, suddgummin eller någonting annat.

Nu ska du få ge dig ut på upptäcktsfärd i Magasinet och se vad ett etnografiskt museum samlar på.

Alla sakerna här har museet samlat, köpt eller fått av människor som varit ute och rest. Många saker kom hit för 100 år sedan, men allt är inte gammalt.

Några saker är reseminnen.

Mycket har man samlat på för att ta reda på någonting, som hur det är på en plats långt bort. Allt det man lärt sig ville man visa och berätta om. Tur då att det finns ett museum.

Collecting things
Nearly all of us have been collectors of something or other: twigs, stones or rubber erasers for example.

Your will now be starting on a discovery tour in the storage room, to find out what is collected by a museum of ethnography.

The museum has collected all these things, or bought them or been given them by people who were out travelling. Many things arrived here a hundred years ago, but not everything is old.

Some of the objects are souvenirs from travels.

Lots of them were collected with the aim of finding out something, such as what life would be like in a faraway place. And what you had learned you wanted to tell and show others. Luckily there is a museum.
