  • The bricks are stamped with an inscription of Nebuchadnezzar II, who was king of the Neo-Babylonian or Chaldean Empire 604-562 BC. P.-R. Berger referred to 52 bricks with the same text as our three bricks. C.B.F. Walker listed 94 bricks in British Museums, most of which were not referred to by Berger.
