While the fill repair holds the rear projection in place, it is slightly mobile, and is poorly aligned/offset from what was likely a more centralised position prior to the damage occurring. The projection is resultingly not perpendicular with the alignment of the rest of the sculpture. The fill metal is a silver/pewter colour and is visually disruptive. Small pieces of what appear to be original surface decoration (guilding and mirrored glass) have been adhered over some parts of the welded area using a black coloured adhesive. This material is not firmly attached and prone to loss- particularly as the rear projection is mobile. Surface clean with soft brush and light vacuum recommended prior to display Inpainting/gilding of the repair area is recommended prior to display. Rear projection to be imobilised with ethofoam supports for transport and installation. 2/6 MONTERINGSANVISNINGAR: HANTERINGSANVISNINGAR: Careful handling of the sculpture is required to prevent movement of the rear projection. Remove rear projection supports only when the sculpture is in final display location.
