A sepoy, an Indian policeman in the British colonial police force, sipoyi (Sin.).
Context
The dance of the policemen, called Polis Kolama (Sin.).

Wood, vel-kaduru (Sin.) (Nux vomica).
Iconography
The low-cut cap is painted in red. The face is grey. Three tresses of hair are combed down from the brim of the hat and fall down on the forehead. The number 1857 are registered on the cap, which indicates the year of manufacture and not the year of establishment of the policeman. His authority is signified mainly by the imposing moustache, which is curved upwards at the ends.
