"In the Georg von Békésy Collection there is a vessel in the shape of a seated human holding an earthen vessel in her right hand, and one vessel in the shape of a man holding in his left hand an indeterminable object, perhaps something eatable. For both vessels the collector has noted "Nayarit couple". Whether they were really found together, is unknown. The tie-up may be von Békésy´s own. ..."In the Georg von Békésy Collection there is a vessel in the shape of a seated human holding an earthen vessel in her right hand, and one vessel in the shape of a man holding in his left hand an indeterminable object, perhaps something eatable. The mouldered décor, which is partly white, has a red slip. The right leg is bent so that the foot touches the vertically bent left leg. The vessel in the right hand rests on the right knee. A neck-ring is merely marked in front. On the forehead is a broad band. The opening of the vessel has been placed on top of the head. Slight marking of the eyes resembling the darker part of the décor. The figure wears a painted loin-cloth. In septum a nose-ring (nariguera) of flat shape. The face is framed by a haiddo or the like." The figure with the vessel is probably a woman. The mouldered décor, which is partly white, has a red slip.
