Andersson Ostasiatiska Samlingarna Sveavägen 65, Stockholm, Sweden Dear Professor Andersson: My nephew, Mr. Lennart Pelme, was here when your letter arrived and he assisted me in exemining my bronzes to see if we could find any of the marks of which you wrote. We did not find any just like yours. Several of my pieces have marks but they are different. One piece of bronze has a very interesting mark, of which I am sending you a drawing. It is supposed to be the very earliest Chou, possibly 12 century, B. C. and is a piece that all connoisseurs seem to find extremely interesting. The picture and description of it was in PARNASSUS —- February 1934 - Volume VI - Number II. The article was by Dr. Alfred Salmony. I am sorry I have not examples of the particular marks for which you and Mr. Karlgren are looking. My eyes are still troubling me somewhat and I have not been able to enjoy your book as thoroughly as I could wish but have had
