0365a Stockholm, March 9, 1937. L.K. Professor, Dr. Li Chi, London Dear Professor Li. I wrote to you some time ago c/o the Chinese Embassy, London, asking you whether you could come to Stockholm and give a lecture some time after April 1lO0th on your famous axcavations at An-yang. I have had no answer from you, but through the Chinese Legation here I have learned that we may hope to have the pleasur of seeing you here. I have spoken with H.R.H. the Crown Prince about it, and asked him to propose a suitable date (I wish him to be present, and he 18 extremely interested himself in being present), and since he is a very busy man he gave me already now a date which he could reserve for the purpose. He suggested Wednesday April lith. Would that suit you? I hope to arrive in London next Monday (March 15th) and I shall try at once to come in touch with you, partly in order to settle this question, partly and above all in order to have the great pleasure of making your acquaintance. If you could come through Gothenburg so that I could have a dinner for you and a few of my friends on Saturday April l0th I would consider it a very great honour and pleasure to me.
