Dear Sir, One of our clients has drawn our attention to a foot-note to an article written by you which appeared in the Bulletin of the Museum of Far Bastern Antiqutties (page 65), in which you referred to "My popular book China Before History". We have not been able to trace this work and believe that it has not yet appeared. But as our customer (Mrs.F.Ayscough) asks us to give her ådefinite information on the subject, we should be obliged if you would let us know whether the book has actually been published. If so, we should be glad to know from whom we may obtain copies. Otherwise, perhaps you would let us know when it is expected to appear. We have seen an announcement by the Geological Survey of China of a book with a similar title, but we think that this must be the large work about which you spoke to our Directors some two years oc a popular book.
