YKVIRY B.Å, Stockholm the 27th of May 1933. Professor CaG. Seligman, Court Leys, Toot Baldon, Oxford. Dear Professor Seligman, Upon the initiative of H.R. H. the Crown Prince and with his very active support we are now ärränging in this museum two small, but scientifically interesting temporary edghibitions, to be opaned about the lst of September in connection with the l3th International Congress of Art History which will take place here in Stockholm September 14.7. One of these exhibitions consists of selected specimens of early Chinese bronzes etc., belonging to this museum and to Swedish collectors, with the addition of a few valuable pieces lent for the purpose from the Kunstindustrimuseum in Copenhagen. The special aim of this exhibition is to show all different kinds of Chinese bronzes (vessels, arms, buckles, mirrors etc.) Classified in ehronological groups. The other collection comprises 875 Ordos-bronzes, most of them belonging to this museum, but also numerous important pieces borrowed from collections abroad. This exhibition may be considered as a first effort in representing this remarkable group of Hiung-nu bronzes, which have only recently been clearly Tecognized as different from
