Ur brev till Baron E. Nordenskiöld dat. 27/3 säger säljare mr. Adney: The Guild has some very fine examples of western woods Cree, and plains Blackfeet moccasins, which Mrs. Charles the manager of the Guild store obtained personally severel years ago from the Indian
superintendent at Regins Manitoba.
There are four pairs of the Blackfeet, new very fine beadwork on tops. Plains type moccasin, rawhide sole. One pair especially has a beadwork band around the ankle. Another in a fine red bead scheme, has a row of swastikas around. The price asked is 7$, for the first mentioned pair. There are three pairs, mans, woman's and child's Cree, soft wood's type, of work at Winnepeg, H.Q. of the H.B. Co. moccasins and other stuff, made by Crees at Norway House, L. Winnipeg, same kind. In its fineness the work reminds me of Chinese embroidery. These all have leather tops, the man's moccasin priced $ 3. Others probably less.
