Miniature altar (arula) made of silver sheet in the shape of a rectangular chest with triple top and base mouldings. Each triplet consists of a torus between two grooves. Attached to the main part of the altar is a stamped relief decoration composed of six bovine skulls supporting garlands of pointed leaves and flowers wound with ribbons. In the forehead of each skull is a whorl of punched crescents. Above the skulls and garlands is an incised row of stepped triangles which is repeated below, with an engraved wave pattern above it. The hanging ends of the garland ribbons are also indicated by incision. The torus of the top and base mouldings is decorated like the garlands with an ornament of two triangular point-to-point palmettes in the middle of each section. The altar is covered by a separate piece of silver sheet, provided with a rectangular incavation tapering towards a rectangular bottom in the middle of the altar. The top of this cover is decorated along three sides of the incavation, with an embossed torus, engraved like that of the mouldings, and with a row of stepped triangles incised on the flat surface between the torus and the incavation. Between the torus and the edge of the cover, on its long side, is a row of incised plain triangles. The bottom of the altar is closed by another separate piece of silver sheet with a three-stepped rectangular incavation, the first step which is decorated with an incised wave pattern, while the bottom present an incised design composed of two palmettes pointed towards a triple band in the middle. The garlands, toruses, triangles and wave patterns are picked out in pale gilding.
