' Dear Dr. Andersson, I am returning to you herewith the copies of Palaeontologie Sinica which you were kind enough to lend me and also your field notes. Miss Oates has made an extra copy of the latter which I enclose herewith,. For vour information I would note thet I leck records for ee the following localities: 1. Ning Ting Hsien, Pien Chin Xou 2. Sining Hsien = = 3. Nien Pe Hsien (Caucasian type> ua l4aig jaa Loc 3 skel! ) (> 4. Pai Tze- Ping 5. Chu Chiå& Chai 6. Cha Yao 7.-Hsie Hsi Ho 8; Kueite Valley I take it that these notes are the ones about which you spoke as heing in the hands of vour friend from the South but I thought it would be wise to give you this list. | I am due to leave Peking at 8 o'clock on the morning of the l0th inst. and I hope to he back by the end of the first week in Febrvary if all goes well and during my absence the work of cleaning will progress very nearly as fast as if I were here. The man in whose charge I have put this work is a responsible and careful individual. I am particularly interested to know the details about the find at Nien Pe Hsien for one of the skulls from NN this locality is without doubt of a definite Caucasian type. With best wishes, Very sincerely yours, ra JG Devicson Black,
