Marbels

When I was 17 or 18 I had the first break up in my life. The girl who I thought I was friends with when we were 15 turned out not to be my friend. Also I was on a new path in my life which wasn't easy because of the difficult break up, in addition to some other things going on in my life too! I needed to be tough and independent. I needed to be alone but even that loneliness couldn't comfort me.
I went to a place and found a big basket full of marbles and decided to find one most similar to me. I could feel everything by touching it and looking at it. I could feel there is another part of me which is strong and complete and understands me better than anything or anyone else. From then on I always had it in my pocket with me. Every time I was anxious or suddenly felt lonely, I would look at it, and it reminded me of what I should be in that moment and how I can overcome the bad feelings... and I learned how to live without needing someone in my life and how to love people more purely, because you don't need them that much if you turn for help to yourself first!
