Leftovers from the sea There once was a hunting station on an island in Västra Frölunda, Gothenburg. Where the archipelago met open sea. The people that lived here, 8000 years ago, fisched cad and ling and hunted seal, backed gull, beavers and otters. Burnt animal bones from meals and barbecues, tell the tails of a rich environment and an abundance of food. Everything was saved and used. Land mammals and fish gave furs and skin. Seabirds gave down, feathers and eggs.
