Nr: 202100-5075 KONSERVERINGSRAPPORT INVENTARIENUMMER: 1887.08.4065 OBJEKTSSPECIFIKATION SAKORD: Skulptur DELAR/DELOBJEKT: MATERIAL: Metal, mirrored glass, paint, guilding DIMENSIONER (mm): 42 cm (H), 24.5 cm (B), 17 cm (D) TILLSTÅNDSBEDÖMNING ELLER SKADEBESKRIVNING: Object is in good condition overall, but the serpant like projection at the rear of the figure has been broken and repaired with a grey coloured metal fill. The fill metal is a silver/pewter colour and is visually disruptive. Small pieces of what appear to be original surface decoration (guilding and mirrored glass) have been adhered over some parts of the welded area using a black coloured adhesive. This material is not firmly attached and prone to loss- particularly as the rear projection is mobile. UTFÖRD KONSERVERING: Surface clean overall. The silver/metal coloured fill was gilded and retouched to lessen the visual disruption. Rear projection immobilised with ethofoam inserts for transport and installation. MATERIAL OCH METOD: Following a surface clean overall with vacuum and soft brush, Charbonell Gold Size (3 hour) (Lefranc-Bourgeois) was applied to the silver/pewter fill with a small brush. The size was left to dry to a medium tack and artificial gold leaf was applied to cover the grey metal fill. The gold leaf was not an exact colour match for the surrounding object surface, and the gold leaf was partially in- painted with Gold Windsor and Newton professional acrylic to achieve a closer colour match. HANTERINGS- OCH FÖRVARINGSANVISNINGAR: Ethofoam inserts between sculpture body and rear project to be carefully remove after installation.
