Material
Wood, vel-kaduru (Sin.) (Nux vomica).
Iconography
An elongated snout, black in colour. The eyes are carved and painted in red, black and white. Both nostrils are prominently displayed. The jaws and the chin denote the act of grazing. There is a bo-leaf (the leaf of a sacred fig tree) decoration, in white with a red border, on the forehead. Two curved horns, without the ferrule, are separately attached. The horns are ash coloured, with a triangular decoration in pink on the joints. There are no ears, but slots for fixing ears are visible.
