The village scribe, liyanarala (Sin.), in the administration of the village chiftain, mudaliyar (Sin.).
Context
A character appearing in two contexts in Kolam; as a scribe in stage one in a Kolam performance, and in the story portion called gama kathava (Sin.).
Material
Wood, vel-kaduru (Sin.) (Nux vomica).
Iconography
The face is painted in yellowish green. The mask is not as imposing as that representing a higher notable such as the mudaliyar. Sideburns are painted in black. The mouth is closed.
