The relief is found in Hermepolis although originally from Amarna. It is a fragment of a larger relief depicting men, who took part in the escort of Pharao Echnaton and who often escorted the king and queen on their excursions in Achetaton. Parts of five men can be distinguished in the picture, all bent in a forward position running to the left. To the far left is only the leg of a man, following, a black man with a bow, a syrian with sword and spear dressed in loincloth imitating a pelt, and to the right an egyptian dressed in a pleated loincloth, carrying an axe and spear in his hands and a shield on his shoulder. To the far right is only the arm of a man, also carrying an axe. This armed escort is taken from the royal troups to which both egyptians and foreign men were recruited. The figures in relief are enhanced with red paint.

Reliefen är funnen i Hermopolis men kommer troligen ursprungligen från Amarna. Det är ett fragment av en större relief som avbildar män, som tog del i Farao Akhenatons eskort och som ofta följde kungen och drottningnen på deras exkursioner i Akhetaton. Delar av fem män kan ses i bilden, alla framåtböjda och springandes vänster. Längst till vänster finns enbart ett ben av en man, följt av en svart man med en båge, en syrier med ett svärd och spjut klädd i ett höftskynke som imiterar en päls och till höger en egyptier klädd i ett veckat höftskynke, bärandes en yxa och spjut i sin hand och en sköld på hans skuldra. Längst till höger finns vara armen av en man, också bärandes en yxa. Denna beväpnade eskort är tagen från de kungliga trupperna till vilka både egyptier och utländska män rekryterades. Figurerna i reliefen är framhävda med röd färg.
