Lebes gamikos (pl. lebetes gamikoi) is a form of bowl, a lebes, with tall handles and lid, attached to a stand. The vessel served the same purpose as the loutrophoros in wedding rituals, to bring the bridal bath (it's literal meaning is "marriage bowl"). It appears from the early sixth century BC and in Attic red-figure it continues down to the middle of the fourth century BC. It appears in South Italian wares until the end of the fourth century BC.
