If some more Dutch vessels have been published in places of which I an not aware it would be sufficient for me to get the information of where I can find them reproduced. Unpublished bronzes I should be ex- tremely glad to get in photographs and with indication of the omner. ä I am only afraid that I cause you a great trouble by this, As to the Huai style dragon which we bought in London, it turned — out to be not quite so precious as we imagined. We put it in dåstilled water to preserve it from bronze pest, and then ona of the fore-legs came off and turned out to be modern brass, very skilfully "patinated" and worked with the body. One side of the dragon, however, is fairly complete and good, and seientifically, of PI the specimen is just as valuable as before. Since you have alrsady written about it, and already before Andersson drawn the important scientific conclusion from it, I deem it reasonable and correct that you should have the opportunity of publishing a picture of it, and we shall send you a photo as soon as our photograrher has prepared a new photo of it after its metamorphosis. Visser, Museum van Aziatische Kunst, Stådelijk Museum, Ansterdam Dear Dr. Visser, I beg you to excuse that I have not answered your kind letter of Dec. 9th before now; I have been away from Stockholm for some time. Fe shall be very grateful to receive your 80 catalogues of Exhibitions 1922,1925,1934 and 1936, and the !o editions published in 1920,1923 and 1926. As to the help you offer us in regard to the bronzes in Holland, I would consider it an extremely valuable and important help to obtain photos and rubbings of both vessels and inscriptions which have not beun published - uninscribed vessels are also of a great interest to us.
