omm "0/K/3164. 5th November, 1931. Prof. J. G. Andersson, Ostasiatiska Samlingarna, Sveavägen 65, Stockholm. Dear Sir, 5 We thank you for your letter of the 21st ulto. regarding the two publications of Miss Tyra de Kleen, and we carefully examined the two books when they arrived. They are certainly very fine publications, but we haräly think that the subject has sufficient interest for us to undertake the translation and printing of an English text before trying to market it here. The cost of such a work would be from £20 = £30 for each of the volumes, which would make them undyly expensive: There is of course a certain amount of interest but the actual students of these mattörs are not as a rule rich people, and the certain number of buyers who can be depended upon in the ordinary way, are at the present time extremely conservative in their purchases. We think that we might be able to sell a few copier of each of these, even with the text in Swedish, if Mies de Kleen cares to have them sent to us on 'commission sale” with 33-94 discount off the prices mentioned in your letter, and post free. We would then accound to her for all sales in the same way as we do to the museum for your Bulletin. Alternatively, if Miss de Kleen Cares to undertake the translation and printing thereof herself, an still send them on the same terms, we should undoubtedly be able to sell more. Will you of Miss de Kleen kindly let us know your sew wighes in tie matter. In the meantime we are carefully looking after She two volumes which you sentous, and will return them to you, or keep them on sale'after the matter has been decided. Thanking you fof bringing this matter to our notice, Ve beg to remain, Yours faithfully Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co. Ltåä. Manager
