v083a 30th October, 1931. Mr U. Sugano, Yamanaka & Co,, Ltd. 127, New Bond Street, London, W.I. Dear Mr Sugano, I have to acknowledge with many thanks your last kind letter. As to the material to be selected for your coming exhibition here, I send you a copy of Loo”s catalogue in order to show what material he brought for his recent very successful exhibition. We feel that he had succeded very well in meeting the taste of the swedish collectors. To sum up my impression, I feel that seramies is the main thing next bronses and jade. At present Professor Eliséeff of the Musée Guilmet is here arranging an exhibition of japanese aret from private swedish collections. There is no doubt that this exhibition will stimulate the interest in japanese art in this city. Would you think it advisable to make a small japanese section in your comming exhibition? To make perfectly clear a certain point in my earlier letter, we advise you to bring some very few extraordinary. things. Mr Loo had brought some few real treasures from which only a big jade disk was sold. These few valuable things fesolnaked our collectors very much and formed the fame of the exhibition.
