YIETE 18 —- 8 - 33, : Dr. Christopher Hawkes, Assistant Keeper, British Museum, Dep. of British and Mediaeval Antiquties, Load on, In reply to your kind note of the 1l5th inst. allow me to tell you that under the museum regulations referred to in your letter, we would prefer not to get an elektrotype copy of the specimen in Question. Our reason is that the specimen inogveskor is Ne first Ordos-bronze to have been reproduced in an antiquarian work. Had we been given the privilege of exhibiting it, it would be as a historical relique, and in sueh a case an bloxkrötsj would by farc not be of the same value. Thanking you for your kindness Yours very truly
