de�, Arfwedso� och Sibber�. Sk�pet har äve� befu��its

p� Hällby säteri, Väster�s.

to the Swedish fa�ily Grill. The �ercha�t fa�ily Grill

was very i�porta�t for the Chi�a trade duri�� the 18th

ce�tury.

SErVIS I PorSLIN
14 delar. Terri�, sk�lar, fat, tallrikar,
koppar �ed fat och saltkar. Dekor i
e�aljfär�er i bl�tt, svart, jär�rött sa�t
�uld. Qi��-dy�asti�, Qia�lo��, 1700-
talets �itt.

Servise� beställdes urspru��li�e� för preside�te� i

ber�skolle�iu� Fredrik Gylle�bor� (1698–1759), adlad

till friherre och �reve. Fredrik Gylle�bor� tillhörde del-

ta�ar�a i Osti�diska ko�pa�iets a�dra oktroj.

Tallrikar�as spe�el är dekorerad �ed ätte� Gylle�-

bor�s hjärtvape� i oval sköld krö�t av friherreli� kro�a

och o�slutet av draperat vape�täcke, det hela o��ivet

av �ol�. Reste� av servise� har lik�a�de �ö�ster. E�-

li�t traditio�e� beror de ore�elbu�d�a �ol�e� so�

o��er vape�sköldar�a p� att rit�i��e� blev vatte�ska-

dad och fuktfläckad p� resa� till Ki�a. När de ki�esiska

ko�st�ärer�a skulle �ter�e �ö�stret i�iterade de de�

utflut�a tusche� �ed utsökt �o��ra��het.

Dessa delar har i���tt i �reve Axel Bielkes sa�li��ar

och förvärvades av ho�o� 1865.

PorCELaIN SErVICE

�id-18th ce�tury.

This service was ori�i�ally co��issio�ed for Fredrik

Gylle�bor� (1698–1759), Preside�t of the Office of

Mi�es a�d raised to the �obility as Baro� a�d Cou�t.

Fredrik Gylle�bor� was o�e of the part�ers i� the East

I�dia Co�pa�y’s seco�d octroi.

The wells of the plates are decorated with the i�-

�er escutcheo� of the Gylle�bor�s i� a� oval shield

surrou�ded by a baro�ial crow� a�d surrou�ded by a

draped la�brequi�, with the whole co�positio� sur-

rou�ded by clouds. The other pieces are si�ilarly pat-

ter�ed. Traditio� has it that the irre�ular clouds sur-

rou�di�� the heraldic shields were due to water �etti��

at the ori�i�al drawi��s o� the outward voya�e. The

Chi�ese artists reproduci�� the patter� �eticulously

duplicated the blots of i�k.

These pieces were i�cluded i� the collectio�s of

Cou�t Axel Bielke a�d were acquired by hi� i� 1865.
